Trial Information
Summary: COG AALL05B1: A Children's Oncology Group Protocol for Collecting and Banking Relapsed Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Research Specimens
You have/Your child has been asked to participate in this research study because you have/your child have a cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) that has relapsed (come back) after previous treatment or while you/your child are still receiving treatment. Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow (the soft tissue in the hollow of the bones that produces new blood cells). The purpose of this study is to collect leukemia cells and normal blood cells from subjects with ALL that relapse, and to store them in the Children’s Oncology Group (COG) ALL Specimen Bank for use in future research studies. Your/Your child’s participation in this study will last as long as the time required to obtain blood/bone marrow specimens and information from your/your child’s medical records. Some information will also be collected by your doctor and reported to the COG for up to 10 years, including the treatment outcome and how well you/your child are doing.
