Trial Information
Summary: The Role of Gene Expression in Predicting Response to Chemoradiation in Advanced Rectal Cancers
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have been diagnosed with advanced rectal cancer and have been or will be treated with preoperative chemoradiation followed by surgery. The purpose of this study is to identify genetic markers within cancer cells that could, in the future, predict which patients can be treated effectively with preoperative chemoradiation. Your participation will last from the time you sign the consent form until you have completed up to five years of follow-up after treatment for your rectal cancer.
