Do you feel like you are breathing through a straw? Chronic
Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a long-term lung disease
usually caused by smoking, some say it feels like you are breathing
through a straw. We are currently looking for volunteers to
participate in a clinical research study of an investigational
medication for COPD.
If you are between the ages of 40 and 80, and have a smoking
history, you may qualify to participate. People with COPD usually
have a combination of these symptoms: feeling short of breath,
wheezing, frequent long-lasting lung infections (like flu,
pneumonia, or chronic bronchitis).
