Summary: Volunteers Needed for Research Study on Treatment of Asthma
Researchers at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical
Center, Department of Allergy, are conducting a research study to
test the effects of XolairŽ, an investigational medication for
persistent allergic asthma.
You may qualify for this study if:
- you are between 18 and 55 years of age;
- you have at least moderate persistent allergic asthma for at
least one year;
- you have been on a stable asthma treatment for at least four
weeks prior to study entry; and
- you have been a non-smoker for at least one year prior to study
start.
Participants will receive study related care and medication free
of charge. In addition, participants treated with the medication
XolairŽ may gain relief from their asthma symptoms.
