Summary: Adult and adolescent (≥ 12 years) African American subjects with asthma

African Americans with Asthma are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Jacobi Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are Male or female at least 12 years of age and African American
• Have a history of asthma

You may not participate in this study if you:

• Have required treatment with systemic corticosteroids within 30 days prior to visit 2
• Had a malignancy (except basil cell carcinoma) within the past 5 years
• Have a planned hospitalization during the study
• Have taken Xolair for any reason within 90 days prior to visit 2
• Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or intend to become pregnant during the study
• Have participated in another research study within the last 30 days
