Summary: People aged 1 to 65 with Developmental L5-S1 spondylolisthesis.

UVa Health System, Department of Pediatrics, Orthopedics Division seeks people aged 1 to 65 with Developmental L5-S1 spondylolisthesis (Wiltse types I and II) who have been told they need surgery to correct their condition, for a research study. Spondylolysis is a defect in the connection between vertebrae, the bones that make up the spinal column. This defect can lead to small stress fractures (breaks) in the vertebrae that can weaken the bones so much that one slips out of place.

The purpose of this study is to collect information about spondylolysis surgery and compare the outcomes of the different surgical procedures. Study involves answering questionnaires after 4 regular clinic visits at Kluge Childrens Rehabilitation Center.

No compensation is provided for this study.
