Trial Information
Summary: Reducing the Burden of Breast Cancer Among African American and Latina Survivors
You have been asked to participate in this research study because you are a breast cancer survivor, your name was provided by a breast cancer registry (the Los Angeles County Cancer Registry, Desert Sierra Registry, or City of Hope Cancer Registry), and 1 to 5 years have passed since your diagnosis. The purpose of this study is to describe the breast cancer experience of African American and Latina breast cancer survivors and to examine the impact of job strain and family duties on depression, anxiety, family functioning, and use of follow-up cancer-related care. A second purpose is to compare two interventions for helping breast cancer survivors cope with stressful events associated with breast cancer. Your participation in this study is expected to last between 9 and 12 months.
