Laboratory Services
- Diagnostic Immunology and Flow Cytometry
Offers comprehensive panels of assays, which measure and determine
the functional activities of antibodies, immunoglobulins,
neutrophils and lymphocytes. Assays are also available to evaluate
phagocytic activity including chemotaxis, oxidative metabolism and
bactericidal response to microorganisms.
- Diagnostic Complement
Offers testing to determine the level and function of all
complement components and split products. The laboratory offers
quantitation of complement activation in vitro and in vivo. The
Complement Laboratory has worked very extensively with
pharmaceutical and biomaterials corporations in pre-clinical and
clinical trials.
- Infectious Disease Pharmacokinetics
IDPL offers analytical chemistry and pharmacokinetic modeling
services with emphasis in infectious diseases. Study designs are
routinely customized to meet individual researchers criteria. IDPL
currently offers comprehensive antimycobacterial, antifungal and
anti-HIV drug serum concentrations utilizing HPLC and GC assays.
The IDPL laboratory also provides PK data analysis and has been
providing services for pre-clinical and Phase I-IV clinical trials
for over 15 years.
- Mycobacteriology
Mycobacteriology offers bacteriological support for clinical trials
to evaluate the efficacy of new drugs in the treatment, prevention
of tuberculosis and M. avium infections as well as preclinical
evaluation of experimental compounds against these infections. The
Mycobacteriology Laboratory has developed drug susceptibility tests
with new agents in accordance with FDA requirements and evaluation
of new devices and systems for cultivation.
- Core Laboratory
The Core Laboratory serves as a centralized laboratory in providing
pre-screening and follow up testing for pharmaceutical clinical
trials.
Customized Assay Development
The National Jewish Clinical Reference Laboratory Directors are
experts in developing customized assays as needed by our clients.
In addition, they offer unprecedented personal consultation and
interpretation for all assays performed at National Jewish Clinical
Laboratories. Our laboratories perform numerous unique assays, many
of which are not usually performed by other laboratories in the
industry.
