Company Overview
CTMG, Inc. provides auditable clinical trial controls in an
interlocking system with its personnel to enable private physicians
to participate in clinical trials. In addition to experienced Nurse
Coordinators that perform all patient visits ni the Principal
Investigators Office, CTMG has contract, finance, regulatory, and
physician medical staff to ensure protocol requirements are
obtained wiht appropriate Quality Assurance Review. CTMG reduces
Sponsor risk by pre-screening physician sites to assure the
required number of patients are seen at the PI office, establishing
required site-specific Standard Operating Procedures, establishing
quality system review at the site, and directly handling all
operational aspects of the trial. This enables the Sponsor to
quickly obtain required data and documents without interrupting the
Physician Investigator's office. Physicians are able to
participate as Investigators without disruption to their core
business, as CTMG provides all required personnel to work within
the Physicians unique office system.
Products and Services
CTMG has assisted Private Physicians in multipel areas, and has
worked with over 40 Sponsors/CROs. Through its strategic
partnerships, CTMG has access to over 4,000 physicians in Eastern
North Carolina and is thus able to work with high-volume Physician
Practices in multiple speciality areas. CTMG is actively seeking to
merge with smaller Site Management Organizations to enable
deployment of the CTMG systems in other areas of the country. CTMG
has a unique mix of former Sponsor Company personnel with clinical
trial experience. There are full time Physicians (with Sponsor
clinical trial experience), cotnract attorneys, financial and
regulatory specialists, in addition to the internal support staff,
that manage the support structure systems and Quality Assurance.
CTMG Nurses all have clinical trial experience, and have either MSN
or BSN degrees, or LPN degrees with successful passing of the ACRP
CCRC examination.
Facilities
CTMG, Inc. does not see patients on its premises, but has
state-of-the-art-paper and electronic retrieval and storage system
for all clinical trial materials. CTMG Nurse Coordinators check out
Source Document, Case Report Form, and Regulatory binders as needed
to bring to their physician sites. Sponsors have the option for
encrypted access to their trial folders, as CTMG makes un-editable
electronic copies of all paper documents.
Clients and Customers
As CTMG seeks to work with the trial-capable, private physician
sites that see the highest volumes of patients, the experience
level of these investigators varies greatly. However, the
interlocking system of process and operational controls deployed at
CTMG enables even inexperienced Physicians to be the top enrollers
in the country, with data reviewed by CTMG Quality Assurance prior
to Sponsor monitor visits. In this system, Clinical Trial
experience is not a pre-requisite for successful participation in
clinical trials. CTMG's main offices and Principal
Investigators are located in Eastern North Carolina, where there is
a complete mix of patients ethnicity (Caucasion, African American,
Native American, Oriental) as well as economic stratification.
Eastern North Carolina also has one of the highest rates of
smoking, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, renal disease, and
stroke in the United States, enabling high patient enrollment in
any of these studies without the need for advertising. CTMG
utilizes central IRBs of the Sponsor's choice, exept for
inpatient trials in which the local hospital IRB must be
utilized.
