Company Overview
The Alliance for Multispecialty Research, LLC (AMR) is a non-SMO Alliance of 23 highly experienced and independently owned-managed Clinical Research Centers of Excellence providing clinical trial services across a broad base of therapeutic areas to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries. Chartered as an LLC in 1994, AMR member centers are located throughout the US with individual members averaging over 15 years in clinical trial participation.
Membership, limited by charter to 25 members, is by invitation only and is the culmination of a rigorous peer review and acceptance process. Alliance member capabilities and experience are broadly based across a wide variety of therapeutic areas with stringent membership criteria paralleling infrastructure standards highly valued in the industry. Our league of highly experienced independent investigators are consistently stellar performers across a wide variety of multispecialty indications and their ability to carefully screen, rapidly enroll, and.....most importantly....to retain study subjects, typically places them at the top of the scale nationwide in any given trial. Additionally, their advice in the early stages of study design and protocol development is unsurpassed in the industry.
All centers are fully HIPAA compliant with full teams of dedicated study coordinators located onsite, formal comprehensive training programs, computerized patient databases, actively involved investigators, strong experience with electronic data capture and patient diary/drug accountability products, as well as standardized internal quality assurance programs. Rapid regulatory document submission includes the ability to utilize central IRBs and contracts are negotiated in a timely fashion.
Located in Nashville, Tennessee, AMR's National Headquarters is financially supported by membership dues rather than from a percentage of individual study grants or from additional administrative fees levied to study sponsors. Our central office team brings nearly two decades of concentrated industry experience to the organization and is dedicated to marketing and promoting site selection, as well as providing centralized support and coordination to our individual Alliance members.
Facilitative services, including coordination of expert feasibility assessments, budget projections, and identification of appropriate investigators are also available to sponsors from this central office.
While our National Headquarters staff is most willing to coordinate any initial contact and site selection activities in collaboration with sponsoring team members, direct communication with any of our member centers at any time is invited and encouraged.
Individual Alliance Membership Requirements
- No affiliation with SMOs, AROs, or study brokers
- Independent center ownership/management
- Over 5 years of clinical research experience
- At least 4 full-time clinical research coordinators located onsite
- Minimum of $1,000,000 annual research revenue
- Individual study contract negotiations
- Ability to use a central IRB
- Remote data entry (RDE) capabilities
- HIPAA compliance programs in place
- Appropriate staff/investigator training and certification programs maintained
- Broad therapeutic range in research experience
- Expert feasibility assessments
- Expanded marketing through National Headquarters
- Membership services supported by monthly dues
