Eurotrials is an independent company operating in Portugal and Brazil, and providing consulting and services for investigation in human health. Eurotrials aims to be the reference niche provider for all Portuguese speaking countries in Europe, South America and Africa.

Eurotrials was established in Portugal in 1994 by members of the academia, pharmaceutical industry and regulatory bodies.

In 1998, being the leading CRO in Portugal, we took a decision to expand to other Portuguese speaking countries, and Brazil was a logical choice because of the growing research activities and its huge potential. After successful implementation in Brazil, cooperation agreements have been established for other South American Countries.

Eurotrials has developed globally more than 800 projects, encompassing more than 35,000 subjects in clinical trials and more than 150,000 in epidemiological studies. We have worked in all major therapeutic areas, especially cardiovascular, oncology, metabolic disorders, infectious diseases/AIDS, neurology, psychiatry, pediatrics, women's health, among others.

In January 2001, Eurotrials achieved the ISO 9001 quality certification in Portugal, by the Lloyd's Register Quality System Assurance (LRQA), with the UK Accreditation Service.

In 2004 based on the existing strong institutional and cultural relations, Eurotrials started activities in the Portuguese-Speaking African countries, namely Angola and Mozambique.

Eurotrials has a young team of 70 professionals, all graduated in a variety of health, humanities and technological areas. Our team is in constant training, ready and willing to meet any challenges from our clients. Our Scientific Committee if composed by respected members of Academia, profoundly integrated and updated in clinical research activities.

M. João Queiroz, MD
Assistant of the Lisbon Medical School at the Physiological Chemistry Unit, for 10 years. Post-graduation in Pharmaceutical Medicine, EUCOR Universities (ECPM), Switzerland. Degree in Pharmaceutical Medicine by the Portuguese Medical Association. Residency in the Immunohematology at the Lisbon University Hospital.
