Company Overview

A wholly owned subsidiary of Coram Inc., CTI Network is a leader in providing in-home and alternate site nursing and pharmacy services for all phases of clinical research trials. CTI will help you and your sites increase patient recruitment and retention, expand geographic reach and improve compliance with study protocols.

Over the past 12 years, CTI has worked with more than 45 different sponsors on more than 100 clinical studies. We utilize a national team of skilled nurses who have expertise in multiple therapeutic areas, from Phase I-IV.

    • In-home nursing and pharmacy services for all phases of clinical trials
    • Procurement of adjunct and comparator drugs for clinical trials

In-home Nursing Services for Clinical Research Projects

CTI has a geographic reach throughout the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico that is ready to help you and your sites access a large market of subjects.

With help from CTI, you can expedite recruitment, and improve retention rates and patient compliance by "bringing the study to the subject." Services include the following:

    • Study drug administration (IV infusion and/or injections)
    • Routine blood draws (peripheral or port) including centrifugation
    • PK and/or antibody blood draws
    • Data collection (surveys, review patient diaries)
    • Patient training and education
    • Device management

Procurement of Comparator and Adjunct Medications Through CTI’s parent company, Coram, Inc., we offer centralized specialty pharmacy services from our facility in Malvern, Penn., as well as 70 other ACHC accredited Coram pharmacies. Our central pharmacy can deliver comparator and adjunct drug directly to your investigator sites or your patient’s home. The end result is a streamlined drug delivery process that substantially improves the efficiency of your trial.

Centralized infusion and/or Injectible Services At the present time, Coram, CTI’s parent company, has more than 50 ambulatory infusion suites (AIS) in all major markets in the United States, with a total of 163 chairs.

CTI allows you access to these AIS locations for administration of both investigational and approved drugs, providing you with a greater reach into markets and improved access to product

Therapy Management Utilizing Corameters CTI employs an evidence-based, clinical approach to managing outcomes of the multiple therapies we support, with the objective of optimizing clinical, financial and satisfaction outcomes for patients and healthcare sponsors.

These therapy management techniques encompass an array of data capture, risk assessment, care plan development, clinical intervention, status tracking and outcomes measurement procedures that are specific to the prescribed therapy and the disease profile of the patient.

Drug Distribution and Hub Provider Coram, CTI Network’s parent company, operates in three market segments:

    • Specialty distribution (delivery to physicians)
    • Specialty pharmacy (delivery to patients)
    • Home infusion/Injection

Coram distributes products using a clinically supported approach that helps maximize market penetration. These "hub provider" services are available in conjunction with specialty pharmacy services.

      Services include the following:

      • Extensive and efficient detailing to physicians, payors and hospitals through an established team of 200-plus specialty sales representatives ready to promote your products
      • Direct drug distribution throughout the U.S. via our specialty pharmacy, CoramRx
      • Immediate access to an extensive database of patients and physician prescribers
      • Patient and physician product support by experienced clinicians
      • Nearly 1,000 payor contracts in place

Informational Assets and Data Licensing Coram and CTI are in the unique and strategic position to provide you with information that could literally change the way you do business. Coram intelligence provides you with the competitive advantage that you need in the specialty pharmaceutical market — a market that is expected to reach $40 billion annually in 2007, according to SG Cowen.

CTI’s data value proposition is robust because it offers a national scope of services, including comprehensive payor relationships, systematically captured diagnoses and patient specific, multi-longitudinal data.

Benefits of CTI

Utilizing CTI’s nursing and pharmacy services to support a clinical research project has become an increasingly important component of the clinical research process. We help sponsors and their CROs with the following:

    • Recruitment. CTI increases recruitment because it makes the study more convenient; CTI brings the study to the patient, whether he or she is at home, work or even a hotel while on vacation.
    • Retention. CTI enhances retention by removing the frustration factor(s). If the patient can’t get to the site, CTI will go to them — 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
    • Operational Efficiencies. CTI will improve the project’s efficiencies by seamlessly integrating its nursing team. It is best to include the CTI staff at the start of a trial, as the likelihood of "on-time completion" greatly increases. If not, CTI has the resources to help rescue your clinical research trial mid-phase.

Facilities Information

CTI is based in Mt. Prospect, Ill. near Chicago and operates in all 50 states, Canada and Puerto Rico. Our team of nurses, pharmacists and clinicians are ready to help you. In addition, our alternate site locations offer greater flexibility to your clinical trial subjects. They can be seen at home and/or at one of Coram’s conveniently located ambulatory infusion suites (AIS). All of these sites can be utilized for infusion, injection, blood draws or subject education by our trained nurses.

If you’re studying a specialty infusion or injection product, we can provide you with services from any one of Coram’s 50-plus ambulatory infusion suites, located in or near most major U.S. markets.

Clients and Customers

CTI has provided clinical research support services to more than 40 pharmaceutical and biotech companies and to many CROs, often supporting multiple simultaneous or sequential studies with one customer. We’ve worked with large multi-national pharmaceutical companies as well as small emerging biotech companies. Irrespective of your size, we will use our best efforts to help you "get the job done" on time.
