Urology Group of New Mexico is a single specialty urology practice with an active clinical studies department.
Clinical Research Experience
We participate in Phase II - IV studies. The Urology Group of New Mexico has performed clinical studies on prostate, renal, and bladder cancer, BPH, incontinence, overactive bladder, prostatitis, prematuare ejaculation, erectile dysfunction. and testosterone studies.

Facility Description
The primary office is conveniently located in the largest population area of Albuquerque, New Mexico, fifteen (15) minutes from the Albuquerque International Airport. Clinical study patients are also seen at our West Mesa office.
Urology Group Clinical Studies is primarily an outpatient services facility, providing a full range of urologic and uro-oncology services, including endoscopy, full urodynamics capabilities, biofeedback, ultrasound and nocturnal penile tumescence. This site also has easy access to audiometric, optometric testing as well as bone density testing.
Investigator Experience
The principal investigator, Dr. Frederick Snoy, has been involved in clinical research studies for 23 years. He is board certified in Urology, and is a member of a variety of urologic related organizations.
Staff Expertise
Carla Jennings, RN, OCN CCRP has spent the last 12 years of her 37 years of clinical nursing experience in full time clinical research. She is certified in clinical research having experience in all phases of clinical research. Her specialty is in oncology (cancer) care and has experience in critical care, vascular ultrasound and renal failure. She has done research both in the university setting and in private practice.
Mary Lou Jones has 3 years experience in regulatory document preparation and submission, budget and contract negotiations, detailing all communications between the Sponsor and Central Investigational Review Boards, data entry management, and back-up to lead study coordinator.
Patient Demographics
Urology Group of New Mexico is located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is a city of about 650,000. Our immediate drawing area is approximately one million people. This covers a large area including central and northern New Mexico, southern Colorado and eastern Arizona. Urology Group of New Mexico physicians hold clinics in outlying cities and we are able to track patients who are involved in our clinical studies from a large geographic area. Our study population is fairly unique in that the population area is approximately 50% Hispanic and 7% American Indian. We have been able to enroll patients from these ethnic groups in our clinical studies quite frequently.
Other Information
Our site usually uses central IRB’s. We also have a local IRB that meets monthly.
Points of Interest:
New Mexico is known for its superb landscapes, beautiful weather, deserts and mountains. Santa Fe, full of culture, art, restaurants and history is just a short drive up I-25. Skiing, hotels, resorts, and adventure are just over the hill.
