Center Overview

Monarch Medical Research (MMR) was established to facilitate multi-specialty Pharmaceutical Clinical Research Trials throughout Hampton Roads, Virginia. Monarch represents a core team of experienced clinical research physicians and coordinators. MMR-managed projects represent the best in sponsored clinical research. Our goal has been to produce quality data with emphasis on efficiency and speed to meet the needs of the pharmaceutical industry’s "faster time to market" while assuring patient safety and adherence to GCP and regulatory guidelines. Successful patient recruitment methods have resulted in repeatedly meeting and exceeding enrollment goals.

Clinical Research Experience

Monarch Medical Research has over ten years of experience conducting Phase I, II, III and IV pediatric and adult clinical trials. MMR represents multiple adult and pediatric subspecialties, with a strong track record in CNS research from migraine and ADD/ADHD to epilepsy in neurology; and from anxiety to depression in psychiatry.

Investigator Experience

Monarch Medical Research’s investigators are among the best medical doctors in the area, dedicated to patient safety and education, in conjunction with the advancement of science. All investigators take part in MMR’s formal training as well as training from outside sources to ensure that we are always up-to-date with the latest research information.

Staff Expertise

Monarch Medical Research’s full-time professional research and support staff begin their careers with MMR with an extensive in-house training program and continuously undergo formalized training throughout to ensure that we are in compliance with ever-changing FDA, ICH and GCP requirements. MMR has board certified RN’s and ACRP certified clinical research coordinators. Monarch Medical Research’s research team is made up of highly motivated and focused clinical research coordinators trained to manage all aspects of clinical trials, regulatory personnel trained specifically to manage IRB submissions and correspondence, and an excellent support staff.

Patient Demographics

The Tidewater area represents a population of 1.5 million who receive their medical care from providers in the Monarch drawing area. We experience little of the institutional shifting so common to major cities. This regional identification and a very positive attitude toward research contribute to Monarch's very successful enrollment and completion rates.

Detailed demographic information is available on: Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, Parkinson’s Disease, ALS, MS. Migraine, Movement Disorders, Epilepsy, ADD/ADHD, Bipolar, Anxiety and Depression.
