Center Overview
The Center for Clinical Research at Atlantic Health serves as a central point of contact for sponsors and investigators affiliated with Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital in Summit. Our purpose is to facilitate and coordinate all clinical research activities, to expedite study initiation, and to ensure strict compliance with the highest standards of research conduct.

Facility Description
Atlantic Health consists of two regional hospitals: Morristown Memorial Hospital and Overlook Hospital. The private practice clientele of our medical staff and our center, programs and outpatient clinics provide access to a wide range of patient populations. Our facilities for Oncology, Cardiology, Neuroscience, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health are among the most advanced in the New York City metropolitan area. We maintain more than 75 specialized clinics and diagnostic/treatment/rehabilitative centers in almost all specialty areas.
Morristown Memorial Hospital is a 629 bed university-linked teaching and research hospital. It is one of New Jersey’s leading and most dynamic medical centers, noted for its innovative health care. Morristown Memorial is a clinical and academic affiliate of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. The Hospital is a regional referral center in such areas as pediatrics, high-risk obstetrics, and trauma.
Overlook Hospital is a 504 -bed university-linked teaching and research hospital. Overlook is a clinical and academic affiliate of The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine as well as a partner of the Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Together we represent a team of highly skilled professionals experienced in the conduct of drug and medical device clinical trials. Our clinical trials management is overseen by a dedicated IRB. Our Center for Clinical Research includes a Medical Director experienced in clinical research (Eric Whitman, MD), and a core of trained Clinical Research professionals.
Our site is within easy reach of the metropolitan centers of New York City and Philadelphia, affording convenient, cost-effective access by your firm’s clinical research staff and/or your Contract Research Organization.
