Facility Description
The Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center represents the future of
medical advancement and progress. It reinforces UCLA's status
as a premier institution of health and research. This visionary and
innovative institution will serve as a center of healing for our
children, and their children. The new center, which will house the
UCLA Medical Center, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, and the
Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA, is a
technological and architectural masterpiece designed to meet the
evolving needs of a 21st-century patient care and research
center.
UCLA has a General Clinical Research Center, in addition to
inpatient and outpatient clinics, in which to conduct clinical
trials. These facilities are equipped with the latest technologies
necessary to perform quality clinical research.
In addition, the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT) serves as a
centralized resource for all aspects of clinical trials at UCLA.
The OCT staff acts as an interface between investigators, sponsors,
and departmental personnel. The services provided by the OCT to
both sponsors and investigators make the initiation and conduct of
clinical trials at UCLA more efficient and timely. These services
include:
- helping the sponsor/CRO find an investigator appropriate for
the trial
- working with the sponsor and with the research staff to prepare
budgets and to obtain IRB and contract approval
- facilitating interactions with UCLA providers
- supplying experienced study coordinators and data mangers to
facilitate the study

Investigator Experience
The UCLA Schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and Public
Health investigator faculty and clinicians are highly experienced
and cover the full range of therapeutic areas listed above. Our
investigators collaborate and work in flexible multidisciplinary
groups as needed to advance the science of art and medicine.

clinical research projects, including study coordination, data
