Radiant Research ¦ Akron was originally established as Clinical Resources in 1982. The center’s office occupies 2,600 square feet of dedicated research space. It includes three fully equipped exam rooms, CLIA-certified laboratory, and internet frame relay connection. The clinic adjoins Dr. McCluskey’s practice with a Radiology Department connecting the offices. The family practice database exceeds 30,000 adults; associate sub-investigators include 3 physicians and a nurse practitioner.

Dennis McCluskey, MD, Medical Director, is a board-certified family practitioner. He has conducted over 200 clinical trials at this research site since 1982, focused on adult studies. Dr. McCluskey’s areas of clinical research expertise include Cardiology, CNS, Endocrinology, Musculoskeletal and Women’s Health.

The center also employs research services of investigators specializing in Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Gynecology, Psychology, and Urology.

The dedicated research team includes four Clinical Research Coordinators; comprised of (2) CCRC-certified LPN’s with a combined 16 years of research experience, (1) RN and (1) medical assistant with a combined 4 years of experience. Supporting members include a recruitment nurse (serves as back up subject visit coordinator), regulatory specialist, lab technician/research assistant, data entry support and administrative assistant.
