Radiant Research ¦ Salt Lake City was founded in 1986 and occupies a 11,100 square foot medical facility dedicated to clinical research. The site has a full lab, exam rooms, and ADAS testing room. The site is located fifteen miles from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Fares J. Arguello, MD, Medical Director, is board certified in psychiatry and has served as a sub-investigator for 95 clinical trials in the past six years. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Medicine in 1975. Prior to his work in clinical trials he was in the private practice of psychiatry and ran a busy inpatient and outpatient practice for 20 years. Dr. Arguello has been the Medical Director of an inpatient/outpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility and freestanding psychiatric hospital. He has also been the Chief of Staff of a local 100 bed hospital. Dr. Arguello is a member of the American Medical Association, Utah State Medical Association and the Salt Lake County Medical Association.

Michael P. Adams, MD, Investigator has been conducting clinical trials for 2 years and has been practicing medicine since 2002. . He is a graduate of the University of Utah School of Medicine, is board certified in Family Practice and has expertise in a broad spectrum of therapeutic indications. Our research site also has medical partners who are experienced investigators.

Dr. Richard N. Shingleton Ph.D, Sub-Investigator, is a licensed clinical psychologist who has worked in a variety of medical settings. Early in his career he worked with youth at the Utah State Hospital Youth Center, Odyssey House, and Utah State School. He assisted in the creation of Cottonwood Hospital’s Eating Disorder Unit and worked with eating disorders for a number of years. Currently, his fulltime work is in pharmaceutical research of psychotropic medications and other CNS compounds. Dr. Shingleton has served as a sub-investigator in over 500 clinical drug trials. His primary function has been diagnosing, screening and assessing drug response. He has been trained using several assessment instruments associated with CNS disorders. He has also provided training in administering such scales at our site as well as other research sites in the US and Canada.

The center’s clinical research coordinator team is comprised of nine highly qualified professionals with an average of four years of clinical research experience.
