Tucked into Southwest Florida’s unparalleled Gulf Coast, Anchor Research Center is a private group practice with a dedicated Research Department, multispecialty research center specializing in Phase II, III and IV outpatient clinical trials. Our large board certified/eligible primary care physician group offers access to a computerized database, searchable by diagnosis, of over 70,000 active patients of all ages. Although Southwest Florida enjoys a reputation as a retirement mecca, greater than 75% of our more than 200,000 residents are under the age of 65, with a segment of approximately 25% over the age of 65. Our large retirement population offers an extremely stable geriatric patient population with available time to participate in clinical trials.

Besides our strong internal medicine, geriatric medicine, family practice and rheumatology departments, Anchor Research Center maintains an excellent working relationship with a solid network of board-certified physician specialists for clinical trials requiring specialty investigators. We also have an intense interest in continuing to grow our research site and to expand our therapeutic trial expertise. Both our Director of Research and Clinical Research Coordinators have experience in conducting Phase II, III and IV clinical trials in a variety of therapeutic areas, and we understand clearly what sponsors want - rapid, effective patient recruitment and retention and accurate clinical data delivered on-time, as promised. Our centrally located Naples office houses our dedicated research office suite, comfortable monitor workroom, locked drug storage, and is conveniently located next to our primary care physician offices, a well-equipped outpatient clinical laboratory and a radiology and diagnostic suite offering convenient mammograms, x-rays, CT scans, bone density testing (Lunar bone densitometer DXPIQ), ultrasound, EKGs and pulmonary function testing. This unique access to lab and comprehensive diagnostic testing allows our site to be cost-effective and extremely time-efficient in processing study patients without unnecessary delay. Moreover, our patients find trial participation extremely convenient, which is especially helpful with our older study population.
