Center Overview
GENEXION Clinical Research Center is an independent, dedicated research facility which conducts phase II-IV clinical research in collaboration with local community physicians. GENEXION was started in 2007 out of the need to develop a community-based network of physicians interested in conducting clinical research. Our mission is to provide integral quality clinical research. GENEXION is dedicated to sponsors, investigators and study subjects to conduct each trial with devotion, integrity and high standards under good clinical practice (GCP) guidelines.

Clinical Research Experience
The staff at GENEXION has over thirty years of combined research experience in a variety of disciplines including, but not limited to:
Autoimmune Disease, Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Dermatology, Endocrine, Family Practice, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, Memory Disorders and Pulmonary Disorders
Our qualified staff has worked with a variety of sponsors and CROs including but not limited to:
Sponsor- Astra-Zeneca, Aventis, Abbott Laboratories, Braintree Laboratories, Duramed, GlaxoSmithKline, Eli Lilly and Company, Merck & Co., Novartis, Pfizer, Sankyo, Serono

Facility Description
GENEXION Clinical Research Center moved into a 1,500 square foot out-patient facility in January of 2007. Conveniently located in downtown Providence, GENEXION's clinical site is easily reached via Interstates 95 and 195 and is only a 15 minute drive from Rhode Island's T.F. Green Airport (PVD).
Laboratory facilities include:
- Centrifuge
- Scale
- -20 freezer
- Refrigerator
- Exam rooms with gynecologic examination capabilities
- EKG machine
- Large double-locked medication room
- Two independent monitoring offices with high speed internet access
- Quiet testing rooms for cognitive evaluations
- Regulatory Office
- Large medical records storage on site
- Kitchen for food preparation
- Multiple waiting areas for subjects
- Ample parking
- Easy access on major North South thoroughfare, accessible to bus lines and train

Patient Demographics
Conveniently located, Providence is known for its highly diverse demographics. The second largest city in New England, Providence population consists of a wide mix of ethnic groups of all ages. The city is also home to 6 colleges and universities providing a large student body from which to recruit. Additionally, the site has the ability to draw on the patients of local physicians for studies, as well as advertising on the radio, television and in the local papers.
