The Psychiatry Psychopharmacology Research Clinic is based at the Louisiana State University Medical Center and located in the School of Medicine. We are a self-contained clinic that includes physician and coordinator offices, exam room, dedicated office space for monitoring by CRAs, computer, fax, Xerox and phone resources, and a lab and specimen preparation area. In addition, inpatient research protocols are conducted on the 33-bed psychiatric unit of the hospital. Outpatient studies are conducted at our site but we also have a Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic from which we are able to recruit patients. We are also adjacent to the Biomedical Research Institute, a two-story 160,000 square foot facility with 56 state-of-the-art research labs that allows us access to one of only 54 Positron-Emission Tomography (PET) Imaging Centers in the United States. Our clinic is accessible by public transportation. We are conveniently located off Interstate 49, within 15 minutes of the Shreveport Regional Airport, serviced by Delta, American, Northwest, Continental and Allegiant Air.
