Santa Barbara Clinical Research, Inc. (SBCR, Inc.), has been conducting clinical trials since 1993. SBCR is a multi-specialty investigative research facility conducting trials with physicians, PA’s, and 3 experienced coordinators. Our coordinators have 32 years combined experience with clinical trials. SBCR, Investigators, and PA’s have an excellent reputation within the community, and with Sponsors. Our commitment is to help with the drug approval process in the hopes of helping people live healthier, longer lives.

SBCR has conducted clinical research for 13 years. We conduct trials in the following areas: Musculoskeletal, Rheumatology, Oncology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Musculoskeletal (DVT prevention, hip and knee disorders, osteoarthritis, COX-2 and other NSAID’s, osteoporosis, bursitis), Neurology, Psychiatry, Otolaryngology, and Urology. We have worked with TAP, Salix, Novartis Consumer Health, Medpointe, Nymox, Vicus Therapeutics, Bayer Pharmaceutical Corp., Sanofi Winthrop, Ostex Int'l, Merck & Co.Inc., R.W. Johnson, Wyeth-Ayerst, Procter & Gamble, G.D. Searle, Roche Global, Tap Holdings, SmithKline, Beecham Pharmaceutical, Pfizer Inc., Viropharma Inc., Daiichi Pharmaceutical, Abbott Laboratories, AstraZeneca, and Alcon Research. The CRO's we have worked with are Paraxel, PPD, Paragon, Kendle, Covance, and Omnicare.

SBCR offers outpatient and inpatient services. We are located adjacent to one of our local hospitals. Our multi-specialty facility includes 9 exam rooms, large waiting room, x-ray, DEXA Scan, cast rooms, physical therapy, occupational therapy, phlebotomy, and conference room. We have a dedicated monitor room with internet access, copier, phone, and fax machines. Our facility has secure drug and record storage, a dedicated refrigerator, and a -20° freezer. Public transportation is very accessible, and used by a number of patients.

We draw subjects from the practices, referrals, and advertising. We enroll subjects from all ethnic backgrounds. We conduct studies with patients from age 18 to 85+.

We are able to use a central IRB for outpatient trials, and a local IRB for inpatient trials.
