Medical Research Associates of Central New York (MRACNY) is an independent research center affiliated with the Allergy & Asthma Diangostic Office in North Syracuse, New York.

Clinical Research Experience
Medical Research Associates of CNY has been successfully conducting Phase II, III, IV, and post-marketing clinical trials since 1998. We have an excellent track record and enroll rapidly. We are dedicated to meeting enrollment expectations of the sponsor while selecting subjects to participate that we believe will provide quality data. Our database is large and full of compliant subjects interested in participating in clinical trials.

Facility Description
MRACNY has 2000 sq. ft. of dedicated space, including three examining rooms. We have the flexibility of being able to use a central IRB. Phlebotomy is performed on site and there is a processing laboratory on site. We have a centrifuge, -20° C freezer, adequate locked refrigerator space for refrigerated study medication, and climate controlled locked drug storage. Our office has a KoKo spirometer and a Burdick 3000 ECG machine. The research department has a large database that draws on the private practice and volunteers from previous studies.
The office has comfortable, private, spacious monitor accommodations. We are conveniently located near Syracuse (Hancock) airport and area hotels.

Patient Demographics
MRACNY's patient database includes not only patients who have participated in previous clinical trials, but also patients from the Allergy & Asthma Diagnostic practice database. The practice has over 14,000 patients. Of these patients, 90% have either allergic rhinitis or asthma. The remaining 10% have various skin conditions. Over 60% of the practice database is under the age of 18.

Other Information
MRACNY has Standard Operating Procedures in place encompassing all aspects of conducting clinical trials. The staff is well trained. The coordinators are ACRP of SOCRA certified when eligible and all coordinators are IATA certified. Dr. Sotomayor has completed the NIH Investigator Training Course.
Our office is HIPPA and OSHA compliant. Our laboratory has a New York State CLIA Waiver.
