Radiant Research ¦ San Antonio Northeast was established in 1996. The 5,000 sq. ft. facility is located 10 minutes from the airport in the suite adjacent to Dr. Burch’s private practice. The close proximity of the site to the private practice allows Dr. Burch day-to-day comprehensive management and oversight of the ongoing clinical research studies.

Francis X. Burch, MD has conducted over 200 clinical trials in his 30 year career in clinical research. He has served as principal investigator for a large number of pivotal trials for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and pain. Dr. Burch is board certified in both Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He attended University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah and then completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Burch served in the United States Air Force as a flight surgeon and later was a staff rheumatologist at Willford Hall Medical Center. Dr. Burch has been a Clinical Assistant, Professor of Medicine, University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio, since 1983. His private practice was established in San Antonio in 1981.

The center employs 5 full time, dedicated and experienced clinical research coordinators. A lead and back up coordinator is assigned to each project to provide continuous coordinator coverage.

Additional staff includes: site director, research assistant , regulatory affairs specialist and administrative assistant.
