Center Overview
Crystal Run Healthcare is a multi-specialty group practice founded in 1982 as a single-specialty oncology practice. We have grown to over 120 physicians and 700 support staff in medical and surgical specialties. Crystal Run Healthcare is one of the fastest growing medical practices in New York State, seeing more than 600 new patients weekly at seven sites throughout Orange and Sullivan Counties. Our facility is open 365 days a year.
Many of our physicians have trained and have taught at the most prestigious institutions in the United States. All of our physicians are board certified or board eligible in their area of expertise.
Our research mission is to offer cutting edge clinical trials to our community in a safe environment following ICH/GCP guidelines while collecting data that is accurate and reliable.
Clinical Research Experience
To date, Crystal Run Healthcare has participated in over 40 Phase II-IV oncology clinical trials through its affiliation with the Southwest Oncology Group and Clinical Trials Study Unit. Beginning in 2004, Crystal Run Healthcare initiated its sponsored clinical trial program with Amgen and Genentech. We have worked with CRO's such as PRA International and I3 Research.
Now that we have an established oncology research program, we are now expanding into other medical specialties.

Facility Description
Crystal Run Healthcare is located 60 miles northwest of New York City in the Mid-Hudson Valley. We have a 72,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility in Orange County and an 80,000 square foot facility in Sullivan County with five additional satellite offices in the surrounding area. Each of our practice hubs has a fully staffed Urgent Care Center that is open at least 15 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our offices are handicap accessible and are located within 1 mile of routes 84 and 17. We can be reached by air through Stewart Airport in Newburgh, New York which is 20 minutes east. Newark International Airport is one hour away and JFK and LaGuardia Airports are two hours away. Hotels and restaurants are within walking distance of our hub facilities. CRA's have a comfortable working area with high-speed internet access and a dedicated telephone line.

Dr. Manuel C. Perry, Jr. MD is the director of clinical research and will coordinate clinical trials with the principal investigators in our medical specialties. Dr. Perry is a graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine and completed a fellowship in medical oncology/hematology at Brigham and Women's Hospital/ Harvard Medical School. Dr. Perry should be contacted directly for all clinical trials regardless of specialty.
Staff Expertise
Crystal Run Healthcare currently employs one data manager with plans to hire more as volume increases. William Pierantoni has undergone training through the SOCRA training program and coordinates data management on four trials currently.
Patient Demographics
Crystal Run Healthcare draws patients from the contiguous counties of Orange, Sullivan, Ulster and Rockland in New York. Patients also routinely travel from northeast Pennsylvania and northern New Jersey. Because we are a multi-specialty group practice with expertise in pediatrics, geriatrics, surgery and obstetrics/gynecology, our patients represent a broad range of age and health status for clinical trial participation. Our physicians and staff routinely participate in community education and outreach programs. We are recognized as the healthcare leaders in our community.
