Patient Demographics
The population we draw from includes an excess of 100,000 people within a 22-mile radius. This population includes residents of Sullivan County, NH, and Windsor County, VT, which have statistically high unemployment and uninsured rates, and a higher than average rate of certain diseases in New Hampshire. This area is also medically underserved. There is a need within this population that can be met by the medical and diagnostic services that accompany clinical research trials - providing a rich opportunity for recruitment.
Dr. Herfort's clinical practice includes approximately 3400 active patients (60% aged 65 or older).
Dr. Boerner's clinical practice includes approximately 4000 active patients (25% pediatric, 35% adult and 40% geriatric).
