Pinnacle Research Group was founded in 1998 in Anniston, Alabama. Since then it has grown into a two-center, multi-specialty facility with a staff of nine research personnel and Phase I to IV research experience. The center is a typically strong enroller and has a record of excellence in quality of data, staff ability, and well-managed operations. Sponsors and monitors appreciate our attitude and consistently return to us with follow-up studies.

Purpose-built research facilities include inpatient and outpatient infrastructure, including a 24-bed dormitory, kitchen, handicapped shower facilities, laboratories, patient library, computer/media and entertainment areas, 6 exam rooms, high-speed internet access, dedicated monitoring space, dedicated fax and data lines, -70° freezer, refrigerated drug storage, refrigerated centrifuge, mammogram, ECG, defibrillator, crash cart, x-ray, DEXA, PFT, treadmill, ultrasound, nuclear studies, and dry ice.

Experienced, on site investigative staff includes Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Nuclear Medicine, and Hematology. Off-site includes Pulmonology, Urology, Neurology and Gastroenterology. Average investigator experience is 5 years.

Tracy M. Sims, CCRC, Director of Operations, has over 18 years experience managing clinical studies, and manages a staff of 7 Clinical Research Coordinators with an average 5 years experience.

Anniston, Alabama is located between the major cites of Atlanta, Georgia (90 mi), and Birmingham, Alabama (60 mi). Its medical community serves a wide geographic region and significant patient population. The site population exceeds 50,000 patients.
