Patient Demographics
Sall Research Medical Center is located in the heavily populated border of Los Angeles and Orange County providing access to a diverse patient population.
- Los Angeles County - population of 9.5 million
- Orange County - population 2.9 million
Over the past 18 years Dr. Sall has built a patient database of over 40,000 patients. It is from this database that we are able to draw a large portion of our research volunteers.
In terms of age, our patient base is divided as follows: Adult (90%), Geriatric (10%)
In terms of race our patient base is divided as follows: Hispanic (70 %), White (20%), Asian (7%), and Afro-American (3%).
We have been consistently among the highest recruiters in past studies. Our data base can be queried for any special medical indication and those that match our query are immediately available for our recruiters to contact. The Director of Public Relations contacts free clinics in our surrounding area and personally visits with our local referring doctors to keep them knowledgeable of all current studies. We also attend a variety of locally held community health fairs as well as Health Days at local Universities where we provide free screenings for hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol.
