Alpha Clinical Research is a Site Management Organization (SMO) located in Clarksville, TN, population 103,000+ and the fifth largest city in Tennessee. Situated just 45 miles Northwest of Nashville, TN and minutes from Southern Kentucky, we are a prime site for clinical research. We specialize in Phase II-IV inpatient and outpatient clinical trial management for the finest pharmaceutical companies and Clinical Research Organizations (CROs). We also recruit clinical trials for physicians and other clinical research sites in other areas of the United States.

Alpha Clinical Research was founded by Kathy Maddox, RN, BSN, CRC in 1999. She has more than twelve years of clinical research experience and over twenty-two years experience as a Registered Nurse. A native of Clarksville, she introduced clinical trials to the Clarksville community by opening the very first research facility. She hopes to promote continued community growth and opportunities for the citizens of her hometown.

Facility Description
Alpha has the ability to conduct Phase II-IV inpatient and outpatient clinical trials. Advantages to using Alpha Clinical Research include:
- Ability to use Central IRB for outpatient studies
- Timely IRB submission/approval for inpatient studies
- Access to centrifuge, clinical and micro laboratory, pharmacy, radiology services including DEXA scans, ECG machine, spirometer, dry ice, -70°C freezer, secure drug storage areas, secure records retention, treadmill
- Computer database of patients to identify potential research subjects
- Regulatory specialists for regulatory maintenance and prompt submission of critical documents
