About Clinical Trials of Texas
Site Maintenance Organization Overview (The Center)
Clinical Trials of Texas, Inc. (CTT) is located in the northwest portion of San Antonio in the Southwest Texas Medical Center. We are a quality Site Management Organization (SMO) that contracts with research physicians who are not only experienced with the code of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practices, but are also well accomplished in conducting clinical research protocols while meeting sponsor goals and timelines.
We work with board certified, well-established physician groups that specialize in a large assortment of medical areas. This gives us the diversity to conduct studies in a wide variety of medical disciplines. Working with CTT gives physicians the ability to effectively conduct and oversee study tasks while maintaining their own private practices. As a Site Management Organization, we ensure compliance and handle all of the regulatory documentation required by sponsors and institutional review boards.
We make sure that our staff is well-trained on all GCP guidelines and FDA regulations. Many of our research coordinators are ACRP certified or are working to become certified. We also have nurses on staff that can assist with hospital-based protocols which require hospital privileges. CTT prides itself on having highly qualified coordinators that know the policies and procedures for conducting research protocols properly and ethically. Additionally, CTT has its own experienced subject recruiter. Having a dedicated recruiter allows our research coordinators to focus on subject care and protocol compliance.
CTT prides itself on being technologically advanced by maintaining an Oracle database (Permedics Surveyor Software) that stores all patient records, forecasts protocol specific visit windows and tracks patient study involvement as well as enrollments in all studies. We are capable of electronic data capture and transmission through any medium required, having extra phone lines dedicated solely to data transmission and a T-1 internet connection for high-speed web-based data transfer. CTT is also proud to have its own proprietary Centralized Patient Recruitment System (CPRS) for patient recruitment and tracking. Utilizing this software allows us to track every patient from the moment they express interest in a study through enrollment.
CTT is pleased to announce our expansion to a 15,000 square foot clinic in the Fall of 2008. This increase in square footage will allow us to conduct overnight phase 1 trials.
