Site Overview
A premier multi-specialty community investigative site conducting Phase II, III, IV, and OTC studies, Clinical Research Atlanta ( CRA) was originally founded as the Georgia Allergy and Respiratory Institute in 1992 by Nathan Segall,MD,CCI. During the past decade, CRA developed a strong reputation for quality research and outstanding patient recruitment. CRA’s successes can be attributed to its exceptional staff, professional management, and effective patient recruitment tactics.

Facility Description

CRA has two research locations, the Atlanta (North urban) and Stockbridge ( South suburban). Each of the CRA locations is equipped with the most modern technology available, including:

  • 6 exam rooms at each facility
  • EKG, Holter Monitoring, LifeShirt ®
  • IV infusion capability
  • Centrifuge
  • Cholestech machines
  • Chest X-ray
  • Access to expanded radiology services—Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry and Mammography
  • Stadiometer
  • -20° Centigrade freezer
  • Gram Stain Test
  • On-site laboratory
  • Secure 2°-8° Centigrade refrigerator
  • Secured storage area for Drug/Study records

  • Ability to use a central IRB
  • Electronic Data Capture/Remote Data Capture capabilities
  • Spirometry, peak flow
  • Access to Uroflow machine
  • Pollen counting
  • Treadmill
  • Stress Test equipment
  • Access to certified Endoscopy unit with 3 suites and recovery room
  • Access to 2 sleep labs (4 beds each)

Investigator Experience

Dr. Nathan Segall is CRA’s medical director and primary principal investigator. As a Certified Clinical Investigator (CCI), Dr. Segall has successfully completed more than 200 clinical trials since 1992. Dr. Segall is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology. He is also Co-Chairman of the Community Investigator SIAC for DIA. CRA has established a network of physicians that provide an expanded breadth and depth to its clinical research capacity.

Staff Expertise

CRA is staffed with 5 experienced full time Certified Clinical Research Coordinators and assistants committed to the highest professional standards of data quality, patient care, client service, and medical responsiveness. Active participation in community outreach programs. Experience with both Sponsor and FDA audits.

  • All staff Certified in Human Subject Protection, CPR, Hazmat/IATA & HIPPA trained
