Our center offers both inpatient and outpatient facilities for research. We have a State-of-the-Art electronic medical records system which enables us to select patients for studies very quickly and efficiently and keep track of all medical data in a timely manner. We have an office space dedicated only to clinical trial paperwork, files, etc. with double locking capacity. We have excellent access to public transportation and are only 40 minutes from major airport--Tampa--for monitors and other pharmaceutical company personnel. We also perform EEG, EMG, EKG, Psychological Assessment testing, Pain Assessment testing and BOTOX injections.

Our Principal Investigator is William Alvin McElveen M.D.

We also have 3 Sub-Investigators: Ralph F. Gonzalez M.D., Douglas R. Sinclair, D.O. and Bridget J. Keller, M.D.

Dr. McElveen is Board Certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Board Certified in MRI/CT by the American Society of Neuroimaging and a Certified Independent Medical Examiner and Board Certified in the neurology sub-specialty of Vascular Neurology.

Dr. Gonzalez is also certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Keegan is also certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.

Dr. McElveen has been participating in clinical studies since 1979. He has been a Principle Investigator for over 40 published trials.

We have 4 Study Coordinators, a clinical research accounts manager, and a clinical research administrator. We also have several nurses on staff who assist with patient care.

Primarily a Medicare population over the age of 65. Patient population is very willing to participate in research to assist with cost of medications. Our practice also has sponsored an Epilepsy Clinic for 23 years in Manatee County. We have approximately 150 patients who rotate through this clinic. Our practice also sponsors a Multiple Sclerosis Clinic with approximately 160 patients, which is associated with The National MS Society.

We use a Central IRB.

We use our website and practice newsletter to publicize our current studies, along with our local newspapers.
