OCCI, Inc. operates three professionally managed clinical research sites in Oregon (Eugene, Portland and Salem). OCCI, Inc. specializes in the clinical trials of investigational medications being developed for treatment in Psychiatry, Neurology and General Medicine (Phase II through Phase IV clinical trials).

- Climate controlled, secured drug storage area
- Phlebotomy draw/processing capabilities including centrifuges, refrigerators and -20° degree freezer
- Medical equipment includes EKG machines, mercury sphygmomanometers and calibrated scales
- Private monitor office
- Large, comfortable patient waiting area
- Located on a major city street and a public transportation route with plenty of free off street parking

Staff Expertise
Gina Tiel, MS, Director of Research and President
Ms. Tiel has over 14 years of successful clinical trials experience. She has thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical trial protocols, patient recruitment, FDA regulatory requirements, as well as clinical trials marketing and contracts. Ms. Tiel is the driving force behind OCCI and our high clinical research standards, progressive research initiatives and collaborative synergies with physicians, medical institutions, contract-research organizations and pharmaceutical companies.
Jim O’Keefe, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. O’Keefe has over 10 years of management and clinical trial experience. Jim is one of the key members of new site evaluation and implementation team. Jim is a stickler for protocol details, always on the look out for new and better methods and procedures. He works hard at recruiting new study patients and is OCCI’s resident computer guru.

Peace Health Oregon, Sacred Heart Medical Centers parent company, is the second largest employer in the area.
