Center Overview

With facilities in both the US and Canada, Altasciences Clinical Research offers comprehensive Phase I/II drug development, including the full array of required support services. We offer quality solutions to biopharmaceutical companies across the world, to support both traditional and adaptive designs involving healthy normal volunteers and patient populations. In working closely with our sponsors, we look for ways to improve our range of services to meet their expanding needs; this has led to the development of specialized and complex offerings, including: Human Abuse Liability/Potential Trials, Early Cardiac Safety Assessments, Cognitive Testing, Smoking Evaluation, Biologics, and Renal/Hepatic Impairment.

With over 25 years of experience, our team conducts over 250 clinical trials a year in multiple therapeutic indications and a diverse range of compounds. We provide our sponsors with the luxury of having access to three premier clinical facilities — based on program needs and sponsor preferences, we identify the site that would best meet and surpass expectations.

Altasciences offers all of the services of a large CRO, but with a flexible and customized approach. We work as an extension of our clients, as partners, sharing valuable information to ensure the best solution is provided, and proactively identify any obstacles to avoid delays and extra costs, including determining the ideal strategies to recruit healthy normal volunteers and patient populations. We continuously innovate to meet the industry’s needs and are able and willing to go above and beyond to treat the ever-evolving and increasingly complex needs of sponsors, while maintaining a high-level of participant engagement and safety.

Unique Patient Recruitment Strategies

Our partnerships with local hospitals increase access to patient populations in key therapeutic areas, providing an extended network of clinical research experience. In addition, rolling out new tools to address the primary concerns of our new, potential, and returning participants (healthy normal volunteers and patients), has been crucial to our success. Through several focus groups, we were able to evaluate the information being requested and searched for on the Web by new and returning study participants, and we adapted our website and tools offered to the participants to best meet these identified requirements and preferences leading to substantial increased study participation and registration.
