Center Overview
Western States Clinical Research, Inc. is a research site consisting of an independent study coordinating group working with a select group of principal investigators in several therapeutic areas. We participate in Phase II, III and IV clinical research trials for the pharmaceutical industry.
Our qualified research subject database currently includes 2000 potential study participants (already pre-screened) for the following indications: seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, asthma, gout, rosacea and severe eczema, acne, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diabetes (primarily Type 2; many with neuropathy), COPD, migraine headache, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, ulcerative colitis, crohns, over active bladder, osteoarthritis, endometriosis and NASH. Patient Demographics
We recruit study volunteers from the 2.4 million population of the greater Denver metro area.
Caucasians and Hispanics are the dominant groups of people living in both the Denver and Fort Collins areas, with Asians and Blacks also represented. Hispanic and Asian volunteers are English-speaking. We find most of our study volunteers to be well-educated. Access to good transportation is not a problem. Although it is rarely necessary, we are prepared to provide qualified patients with taxi or bus fare.
We locate study subjects through the principal investigators' practices, newspaper and radio advertisements, and referrals from the medical community. We are also contacted regularly by Internet users who are interested in volunteering for studies. We have found a cooperative, motivated population of potential study volunteers to be present in the Denver area, which contributes greatly to our success in achieving enrollment goals.
