Currently Enrolling Trials

As a research study participant, volunteers often learn much more about their medical condition and become more aware of their condition’s symptoms as well as emerging treatments for their condition. As a research facility under the governance of several Institutional Review Boards (IRBs) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), our patients receive thorough monitoring of their condition through more frequent testing, office visits and follow-up appointments.

Our Columbus site is currently enrolling patients in the following studies:

Pharmaceutical Studies:

  • Skin Infection
  • Urinary Tract Infections or Acute Pyelonephritis
  • Pain
  • Blood Clots
  • Hepatitis C
  • Asthma
  • Hemmorhoids
  • Diabetes
  • COPD/Emphysema
  • Opiod-Induced Constipation

To accommodate various needs of patient volunteers, we often provide transportation, transportation reimbursement and communication assistance (i.e. loan of cell phone). In addition, qualified participants receive study related procedures and medication at no cost.

Facility Description

Our medical research site in Columbus, Georgia, is comprised of two buildings, covering 5,000 square feet. We are centrally located in the city, within six miles of most area hospitals and within one mile of the Columbus Airport. Our site features six exam rooms, a large IV infusion room with leather recliners and flat screen television, procedure rooms, phlebotomy room and a fully-equipped laboratory. This facility has an active medical staff of physicians and clinical coordinators to manage all clinical trials. CRAs have their own private desks with internet and telephone access, or they may use our spacious conference room when it is available. Subjects are allowed privacy in our quiet consent and exam rooms.

In 2007, the Columbus site attained the status of the “leading research site in the country” in terms of enrollment for several phase 2 and phase 3 studies for the treatment of complicated gram-positive skin and skin structure infections.

"By far the best site both in terms of numbers and quality of specimens... I do appreciate all that you did for the study and hope that we can collaborate again in the future."

- Glenn Tillotson, Replidyne

"I was much impressed with the attention to detail, communication and excellence in study execution at your site. I was thrilled with the teamwork of your group, and am very grateful that you seem to work so well with [the CRA]."

- Laura Lawrence

"I was most impressed with the staff and leadership at SERRG, Inc. and Southeast Regional Research Group. They took what could have been a very frustrating situation and turned it into an opportunity to shine. From the beginning, they took control in correcting issues and were appreciative of any and all feedback. I was impressed with the manner in which they took charge, even initiated processes, and were very proactive. This type of interaction and response is unheard of in the research industry.

This organization is extremely comprehensive in terms of action items—response time is one to two weeks, and a formal letter is sent documenting the resolution. This means when the monitor walks in for the next visit, everything is in order.

The atmosphere at SERRG is pleasant, positive and responsive. Their objective is to remain focused, they provide clean data and never let queries get later than 20 days old. They are always ahead of the game, complete and comprehensive.

I would absolutely work with SERRG, Inc. and Southeast Regional Research Group again. They would be first on the list for any cardiovascular trial, or a trial for any specialty for that matter. I highly recommend this site."

- Kimberly Cotten, CRA

"I have worked with SERRG on many studies and always get the same result - top enrollment but also high level of quality. On top of that, everyone on the staff is great to work with! SERRG will always be high on my list to contact to participate in studies I work on. "

- Carisa DeAnda, PharmD, Clinical Project Manager, Inclin, Inc.
