Drug Information Association and CenterWatch establish agreement to deliver clinical research information and educational services to professionals around the world.
HORSHAM, PA–January 27, 2003–The Drug Information Association (DIA), and CenterWatch, a division of Thomson Healthcare (NYSE: TOC; TSX: TOC), today announce a collaborative agreement to disseminate clinical trials information and resources to industry professionals worldwide. Through this agreement, DIA will distribute CenterWatch's award-winning news and information services to biopharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies and other pharmaceutical and related healthcare industry professionals. Ultimately, this collaboration of complementary products, services, and constituents, will help advance international pharmaceutical research and development.
DIA is an international organization which annually provides more than 100 meetings, training courses, and symposia for nearly 30,000 members from the pharmaceutical industry, government regulatory agencies, academic institutions and contract service organizations (CSOs). As part of this collaborative agreement, CenterWatch will provide its publications, training guides, news reports, clinical research investigator profiles, investigational drug profiles and career development information to DIA members in order to assist biopharmaceutical companies and other industry professionals in more effectively managing and conducting all aspects of their clinical research studies. In addition, given its broad publishing reach, CenterWatch will promote DIA membership to more than 35,000 international clinical research investigators.
This collaborative agreement establishes an ongoing process for CenterWatch and DIA to jointly deliver, throughout the world, a more complete continuum of practical and valuable information for pharmaceutical and research professionals.
