Summary: The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the activity of an investigational medication in comparison to placebo patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer Disease

Participation in the study will last approximately 18-24 weeks that will include a screening, treatment and follow-up period. There will be 7 required visits to our office. Compensation for time and travel may be provided.

Qualified participants must be

• Age 50 or older
• Experiencing short term memory loss or diagnosed with mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease
• In general good health with stable medical conditions
• Have a reliable caregiver that will attend all office visits.

Patients may be on stable doses of Aricept, Reminyl or Exelon.
