Trial Information
Summary: Does your child have ear tubes and ear drainage?
If your Doctor is saying your child has an Acute Ear Infection
and your child has tubes in their ears, he/she may qualify for a
clinical research study of acute otitis media in children with
tubes.
Requirements
- Between 6 months and 12 years of age
- Not allergic to quinolones
- Abe to use ear drops
- Have not taken any antibiotics in the last 7 days and
Azithromycin in the last 2 weeks
- Presence of drainage for less than 21 days
- Tubes in ears for more than 72 hours
Patients receive
- Research related medical evaluation
- Study medication
- Reimbursement for time and travel expenses
