Summary: The Cardiovascular Effects of Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Obese Subjects

Are you interested in losing weight?

We are seeking volunteers for a research study looking at the effects of weight loss and treatment for sleep apnea in improving factors for the risk of heart disease and diabetes

You may qualify for this study if YOU ARE:

  • Between the ages of 18 and 80
  • Overweight
  • Do NOT have major medical problems or diabetes

Patient Inclusion Criteria

  • Age 18 to 80
  • Symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea (poor sleep,waking short of breath, snoring, etc.)
  • Overweight (BMI equal to or greater than 30)

Patient Exclusion Criteria

  • Diabetes
  • Major medical conditions, such as recent heart attack or stroke.
  • Chronic high blood pressure.
  • Previous hospitalization breathing related problems.
