Trial Information
Summary: SWOG S0410: Tandem Autologous Stem Cell Transplantation for Patients with Primary Progressive or Poor Risk Recurrent Hodgkin's Disease (A BMT Study)
You have/your child has been asked to participate in this research study because you have/your child has Hodgkin’s lymphoma that has progressed (become worse) or recurred (come back) after you received standard treatment. The purpose of this study is to evaluate progression of Hodgkin’s lymphoma after treatment with 2 cycles of high dose chemotherapy, each followed by autologous stem cell rescue (infusion of the subject’s own previously collected stem cells that can become blood cells). Another purpose is to evaluate how often Hodgkin’s lymphoma responds to this treatment and what kind of side effects are seen. Your/your child’s participation in this study is expected to last about 2 months for treatment and about 7 years for follow-up.
