Trial Information

Summary: EMR 62206-015: A Phase I Dose-Escalation Study of the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics. Biological and Clinical Activity of EMD 273066 Administered with Low-Dose Cyclophosphamide to Subjects with Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM) Positive Advance Cancers

You have been asked to participate in this research study because you have advanced cancer that is not responding to standard therapy or for which there is no standard therapy.  The main purpose of this study is to find the highest dose of the investigational drug EMD 273066 that can be given safely (without unmanageable side effects) when combined with a low dose of the chemotherapy drug cyclophosphamide.  The effects of this treatment on the immune system (white blood cells and proteins in the blood that may fight against cancer and infections) and any immune reactions against the drug will be studied.  Another purpose is to study how much EMD 273066 stays in the body over time and to evaluate possible anti-tumor effects of the treatment.  Your participation in this study is expected to last as long as your tumor is not growing and you are not having any unmanageable side effects for up to six cycles of treatment (18 weeks).  Your medical condition will be followed on study for one month after your last dose of EMD 273066.
