Summary: Research on ADHD and Smoking
A Pilot Study Of Osmotic Release Methylphenidate
(OROS-MPH) In Initiating And Maintaining Abstinence In Smokers With
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
You may be eligible to participate in a research study on an
investigational medication that may help reduce symptoms of
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and may also help
you to stop smoking.
In addition, you will receive smoking treatment using the
nicotine patch and counseling.
Patient Inclusion Criteria
Are you a smoker who:
- Wants to quit smoking
- Is 18-55 years old
- Is easily distracted, forgetful, impulsive, and/or
fidgety
