Summary: Overactive Bladder Research Study
Determined not to let overactive bladder ruin the day.
Investigational gel for overactive bladder being
evaluated.
An estimated 13 million people in the U.S. suffer from overactive
bladder (OAB), a condition marked by sudden and frequent urges to
urinate. For many, OAB can be a troubling and embarrassing
condition to live with. Today, local doctors are evaluating an
investigational gel medication to see if it safely and effectively
treats symptoms of OAB. Study participants apply the study gel once
daily to the abdomen, upper arms or thighs, where it is absorbed
through the skin. To be eligible for participation in this research
study, you must:
- Be 18 years of age or older, AND
- Have a history of overactive bladder with the following
symptoms:
- Urgency (sudden urges to urinate), AND
- Urge urinary incontinence (occasional leakage or wetting),
AND
- Urinary frequency (the need to urinate more often than most
people).
Qualified participants will receive a study-related medical
evaluation and the investigational gel medication at no cost.
Reimbursement for time and travel may also be provided.
