Summary: HIV in Children and Adolescents 6-17 years old

Children and adolescents with HIV-1 are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Jacobi Medical Center.

Your child may be eligible to participate in this study if he/she:

  • Is male or female between 6 and 17 years of age
  • Have a documented HIV-1 infection

Your child may not participate in this study if he/she:

  • Has an active AIDS related illness
  • Has a life expectancy of less than 6 months
  • Is pregnant, breastfeeding, or intends to become pregnant during the study
  • Has participated in another research study within the last 30 days
