Summary: A clinical study to test an experimental drug in patients with acute myelogenous leukemia (AML)
Mount Sinai School of Medicine is seeking subjects with acute
myelogenous leukemia (AML) in either first complete remission with
poor prognostic features or second complete remission to
participate in a clinical study to test an experimental drug.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:
- Are at least 18 years old
- Have acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) in either first complete
remission with poor prognostic features or second complete
remission
You may not participate in this study if you:
- Have received a marrow, blood or cord blood transplant
- Have had a solid organ transplant
- Are taking corticosteroids at doses equivalent to or greater
than 10 mg/day of prednisone
- Have received "experimental" treatment within the
last three months
- Are pregnant or breastfeeding
- Have a history of HIV positivity or AIDS
- Have certain other serious medical conditions
