Summary: Healthy Volunteers Needed for Platelet Research Studies

Researchers at the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy are recruiting healthy volunteers to participate in a research study that will involve collecting a blood sample to examine the effects of platelets under various conditions.

You may be eligible for this study if you:

• are a healthy adult 18 years of age and older;
• have no history of excessive bleeding or clotting; and
• have not taken any medications that affect platelet function for the last seven days prior to the study.

Persons who qualify will receive study-related care at no cost and will be compensated for their participation, which will take approximately one hour to complete.
