Summary: Sleep Disorder Breathing Study

UVa Health System, Internal Medicine Dept., Pulmonary Division seeks women, men, children ages 6-65 years, having difficulty breathing during sleep, restless sleep, snoring, snorting and gasping for a research study.

The purpose of the study is to determine if breathing problems during sleep could be detected by analyzing breathing sounds. Study involves a swallowed spaghetti size small tube while sleeping. Qualifying participants are required to spend 1 overnight visit starting at 4:30 PM and ending by 7-8 AM the following morning. Dinner and breakfast is served.
