Trial Information
Summary: A research study to examine the safety and efficacy of an investigational medication for sleep maintenance insomnia.
This is a study comprised of 6 visits over approximately 9
weeks. 3 of these visits will be in our main office, and the other
3 will be 48 hour stays in our sleep clinic. All procedures,
physical exams, and study medication are at no cost to you, and you
will be compensated for your time and travel.
Patient Inclusion Criteria:
- You must be 18 years of age.
- You must be available to stay at our sleep clinic for 48 hours
on 3 separate occasions.
- Women must be non-pregnant, non-nursing, and using an
acceptable form of birth control.
Patient Exclusion Criteria:
- You must not have a history of epilepsy, seizures, or
significant head injury.
- You must not have a liver, blood, heart lung, or kidney
condition.
- You must not have been tested positive for HIV or Hepatitis B
or C.
- You must not have been diagnosed with any other sleeping
disorders (i.e. Sleep Apnea, Restless Legs Syndrome,
Narcolepsy)
- Must not be currently working a night or a rotating shift. You
must not have a history of depression or anxiety (within the last
12 months).
