Summary: Moderate to Severe Persistent Asthma

The purpose of study is to assess the effectiveness of Xolair (omalizumab; formerly called olizumab) in people with asthma who still have symptoms despite treatment with AdvairŪ 500/50 twice daily.

You may qualify for this study if you:

  • Are between the ages of 12 and 75
  • Have a history of moderate to severe asthma

You will not qualify for this study if you:

  • Are pregnant and/or breast feeding a child
  • Have an active lung disease other than asthma
  • Have a history of drug or alcohol abuse
